Herbish Top 10 – E3 2017 Wishlist

Every year in June, I make a wishlist for games I want to play in the future. Even though the pickings were a bit slim this year, there is still a lot to look forward to. So, without further ado, here is the list of games Herbert M. Green really wants to get his hands on;

1>> Spiderman (PS4)

Finally a spidey game I want to play!!!

The web slinging looks top notch, the combat appears to be inline with that of The Bat’s and most of all; Stealth gameplay! One of the best genres to play high as a kite is stealth games! Who’s with me on this!?

2>> Days gone! (PS4)

Omg omg omg! Hords of zombies!

I have always had a softspot for TEOTWAWKI stories and this one is already proving to be a whopper! All the elements are there to make this game a blockbuster; Open world, Do It Your Way-gameplay (DIYW-gameplay, I’m coining it!), stealth and fricking loads and loads of zombies!!! What’s not to like?

3>> Anthem (Xbox)

The game I wished Destiny was gonna be

Like most, I was very disappointed by Destiny. I had expectations of the game that proved too high in the end. Now that I’ve seen the first gameplay footage of Anthem, I know that this is the game I always wished Destiny was gonna be. At least, I hope so…….

4>> God of War (PS4)

Kicking ass like a Greek God!

Oh yeah! I always rocked as Kratos! Whether I was baked or not, I always kicked ass. Also, my knowledge of Greek mythology stems mostly from this franchise! So that’s why I’m looking forward to seeing Kratos in action again, but this time in Viking country!

5>> Shadow of War (Xbox)

More (and improved) Shadow of Mordor!

When it comes to awesomeness and fluidity in combat, Shadow of Mordor takes the cake in my book! Sorry Batman, you put up a good fight, but this prize goes to Talion and Celebrimbor! This time around we’re gonna have so many more toys to play with! Oh, the fun I’m going to have with this game! Can’t wait!

6>> Far Cry 5 (PC/Xbox/PS4)

Are we ready for the Rapture?! Amen!

I have never been particularly good at first person shooters, at least not in multiplayer. So if I have a craving for hosing down buckets of cannon fodder, it has to be in a single player, story-driven shooter. Combine that with my love for an open world and the freedom of DIYW-gameplay (there it is again!) and I know I’m going to love running and sneaking around in this game!

7>> Shadow of the Colossus (PS4)

Man! I’m gonna need to set up a Patreon account soon

I have never played the original, but I always wanted to. It dawned on me that with this game, and all the other PS4 exclusive titles on this list, that Ol’ Herb needs to get one soon.

8>> A Way Out (PC/Xbox/PS4)

Co-op meets Prison Break

Co-op can be the funniest game mode when you’re stoned out of your gourd! That is if you have a partner who’s equally stoned. Let the slapstick moments roll!

9>> Beyond Good And Evil 2 (TBA)

How did I miss this?

Also a title I have always wanted to play but never got around to. Judging by the trailer, I should definitely keep an eye out for this one and correct that mistake!

10>> Assassin’s Creed Origins (PC, PS4, Xbox)

Not sold on it yet, but looks cool

I’ve stopped playing the AC games after Assassin’s Creed Unity. Although I enjoyed the series immensely, especially because it’s a great series to play while toking away, I’m a bit bored by the franchise now. I catch myself being more skeptical about almost everything that bears AC in the title. Origins looks cool and I can picture myself playing it on those bonged-out Sundays afternoons, but I’m not getting my hopes up yet. Maybe the RPG-elements they’re talking about will make a difference?
